After several years of relative silence, Flooba returns with Diario di Aria, a four-track collection of environmental compositions released by A/Grounds for Netlabel Day.
Assembled from recordings and sonic sketches gathered between 2018 and 2022, the EP unfolds as a diary of listening, tracing the subtle relationships between memory, atmosphere, and place. Field recordings, environmental sounds, and restrained electronic processing merge into immersive soundscapes where everyday acoustic events become carriers of emotional and temporal experience.
Air acts as the central thread running through the work. Wind moving across balconies, resonances filtering through domestic spaces, distant weather phenomena and fragile sonic details become markers of personal time. Rather than documenting specific events, Diario di Aria explores moments of attention in which the surrounding environment appears briefly animated by an invisible presence.
Blurring the boundaries between soundscape composition and ambient music, the EP invites listeners into a contemplative space where memory, landscape, and imagination slowly converge.
Released on Netlabel Day 2026 - netlabelday.org, Diario di Aria marks a significant return for Flooba and reaffirms Adriano Sorbello's long-standing commitment to environmental listening and independent music culture.
